Why choose the Hawkesbury Dental Centre for a dental crown?

At Hawkesbury Dental Centre, we utilize CEREC technology, a computer-based design system, for the efficient creation and placement of dental crowns. This approach includes capturing a 3D digital CEREC image of your tooth and transferring it to the computer.

The dental crown is then crafted using a ceramic block, all completed in a single session. Thanks to CEREC technology, there's no need for the dentist to take impressions of your teeth. Additionally, the dental crown is designed to closely resemble the natural tooth it will be fixed onto.

Support for Anxious Patients: Sleep While We Treat

People may experience anxiety or worry before going to the dentist, which can keep them from receiving the necessary dental care. If this sounds like you, don't panic.

Dental sedation can be offered to those who feel a high level of anxiety during dental appointments. At our practice, we offer IV sedation that allows you to be completely unconscious or semi-conscious according to your comfort level.

Learn More About Dental Crowns

A dental crown is considered as a potential solution to address issues related to a broken or decayed tooth. It functions as an artificial tooth that is attached to an existing tooth to help restore its shape.

The placement of a dental crown aims to restore the tooth's shape and reinforce its resistance. Recent advancements in dental technologies allow for the creation of crowns that can be customized to correspond closely to the characteristics of the tooth they are reinforcing, as well as the overall dentition.

Curious about dental crown placement? Explore the three-step process!

1. Consultation - The process of dental crown placement commences with a consultation with our dentist. During this initial meeting, the dentist will assess the overall health of your dentition and suggest potential treatments tailored to your specific needs.

2. Preparation - If you opt for a dental crown, the dentist will carefully prepare the tooth for restoration. Subsequently, impressions of the tooth and surrounding teeth will be taken to create a customized dental crown.

3. Crown Placement - Following the preparation stage, a temporary dental crown will be placed. The definitive dental crown will be installed during your subsequent consultation. For those opting for CEREC intervention at the Hawkesbury Dental Centre, the impressions and crown creation are efficiently handled simultaneously by the device, potentially eliminating the need for a second consultation.
